DIVVITO PRIVACY POLICY 

Welcome and thanks for using Divvito. By using Divvito, you’re agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) so please read carefully in conjunction with our Terms of Use. If you have any questions about our policy, feel free to contact us. This policy is valid as of January 1, 2021. 

Definitions 

Divvito (“Divvito”, “we,”, “us” or the “Service”) helps separated parents communicate more effectively around the shared care of their kids through the URL divvito.com (the “Website”) and Divvito Messenger, available to download via the App Store and Google Play (the "App"). Divvito is operated by Relationships Australia (NSW) Limited, an Australian business, ABN 73 000 509 982, based in the State of New South Wales, Australia. As a customer of the Service or a representative of an organization that’s a customer of the Service, you’re a “Member” according to this agreement (or “you”). Any Member you link your account to is a “Shared Account Holder” (or “Shared Member”). Relationships Australia (NSW) Limited has employees, independent contractors, and representatives (“our Team”) who service the Website and the App and its Members. 

PRIVACY 

The purpose of this statement is to let you know what information is collected about you when you visit and use Divvito, how this information is used, to whom it is disclosed, and your ability to have any incorrect personal information amended. Our goal is to provide you with a satisfying experience while allowing you to control your privacy and to give you a means to voice any questions or concerns you may have. This statement has been prepared in accordance with the Privacy Act 1998 (as amended by the Privacy Amendment Private Sector Act 2000). 
 

COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY 

We are committed to protecting your privacy while interacting with Divvito. We want to provide a safe and secure environment for all. General information is primarily collected to make it easier and more rewarding for you to use our Services. Depending on the Service you are accessing, you could be asked to provide personal information. We will only use personal information you have chosen to provide to us for the purpose for which you provided it. 

THE INFORMATION COLLECTED 

The Website collects two types of information. The first type is anonymous information. The web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes: 

• The user’s server address 

• The user’s top-level domain name (e.g. com, .gov, .net, .au, etc.) 

• The date of your visit to the site 

• The pages accessed and documents downloaded 

• The previous site visited, and 

• The type of browser used 

• Domain site cookies 

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law-enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the internet service provider’s logs. 

The second type of information that the Website collects is personal information. Personal information is requested in order to provide personalized and enhanced Services that are not available to anonymous users. Personal information requested includes: 

• email address 

• name and company name 

• address and phone number 

Because there are risks associated with using the Internet as a transmission medium, the company takes no responsibility for errors associated with interacting with the Website (refer data security below). 
 

The App collects personal information. The app server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information: 

• Mobile device ID or unique identifier, device type, and unique device token 

• The user’s email address either supplied or provided via Google or Facebook when logging in through those third-party providers 

• The user’s first name, their co-parent's first name 

• The user's children's first names 

• Their relationship rating 

• Customised preferences around communication 

• Messages and time-related information 

• Flagged messages 

• Location information from your mobile device, if you've enabled the use of location services on your mobile device 

In detail: 

  • email address – we will record your email address if you register to use our Services, send us a message, apply for a position, complete a user survey, subscribe to an newsletter, or complete a form where this information is requested. If subscribing to an email newsletter you may “unsubscribe” at any time from the newsletter mailing list. Email addresses will not be added to any other mailing lists. We will not disclose your email address without your consent unless required to by law. 

  • name, address and phone number – personal details are required to enable subsequent contact with you and/or to enable authentication of the information provided. We will not collect or solicit personal information via Divvito that would be unlawful, unnecessary or unrelated to the functions or activities of Divvito, or unfair or unreasonably intrusive. 

Under no circumstances will Divvito sell or receive payment for licensing or disclosing your personal information unless it is for the sole purpose of providing you a Service specific to Divvito that you have signed up for. 

Information that has been anonymized or aggregated so that it can no longer be used to identify a specific person is no longer considered personal information, whether in combination with other information or otherwise. 

All information collected may be used for de-identified anonymous research purposes by Divvito and/or its affiliated research partners. 

If you have received a subscription through a third-party organization, aggregated de-identified anonymous data will be provided to that organization to enable them to improve services to their customers. 

USE OF COOKIES 

Cookies are small files that Divvito's service providers transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables them to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information. 

We use site cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. 

COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY 

Divvito is committed to protecting the security of your personal information and we take all practical precautions to protect it from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. Your personal information is stored on secure servers that have SSL Certificates issued by leading certificate authorities, and all data transferred between you and the Service is encrypted. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorized access, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from our website or messenger app. These activities are conducted at your own risk. We will advise you as soon as possible upon discovering or being advised of a security breach where your personal information is stolen, accessed, used, disclosed, copied, modified, or disposed of by any unauthorized persons or in any unauthorized manner. 

DIVVITO DOES NOT STORE CREDIT CARD DETAILS 

If you subscribe to a paid plan with Divvito and pay for the Service by credit card, your credit card details are encrypted and securely stored by a third-party service provider to enable Divvito to automatically bill your credit card on a recurring basis. Your credit card details are not stored by Divvito and cannot be accessed by our team. 

HOW USERS CAN ACCESS AND CORRECT THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

Divvito holds your personal information. To update, please access your profile via the App or for Website related information, email us at support@divvito.com

LINKS TO OTHER SITES 

This privacy statement applies only to Divvito and not to other companies’ or organizations’ websites or Apps to which it is linked. We encourage you to read their respective privacy statements regarding personally identifiable information. 

ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY ONLY 

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through Divvito and not to information collected offline. 

YOUR CONSENT 

By using Divvito, you consent to this privacy policy. 

PERMISSIONS 

The company owns the copyright to Divvito so no technology, content, images, graphics, layouts and other components can be reproduced without prior approval. The company is the author of all original material on the Website and App and should be recognized in all situations, unless clearly stated as third party provided content. You can link to content on the Website if you credit Divvito with providing the content, and link back to the Website. As a courtesy, please email support@divvito.com if you are considering this. The website contains numerous links to other third-party websites (TPW). The company cannot guarantee the links will be maintained following the published date if TPWs change URL page details. No warranty is made that other websites or links are free from computer viruses or other defects. 

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY 

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and update the Privacy Policy modification date below.
